La piattaforma è ArtVerona does not stop. Although its 16th edition has been postponed to 2021 following government restrictions, it launches a three-part digital program supporting the 122 participating galleries, designed to offer collectors and all art enthusiasts the opportunity to engage with and enjoy a broad and carefully curated artistic selection. Three initiatives are scheduled from November 27, 2020, to January 2021, forming the new ArtVerona program, whose names reference the dominant colors of the fair’s coordinated graphic identity: Digital Black, the first Black Friday of contemporary art; Digital Yellow, the core of the digital program, which also includes the new edition of Level 0—this year open not only to museums but also to private foundations; and finally, for galleries participating in ArtVerona and registered with ANGAMC, Digital White by ANGAMC, featuring the presentation of solo exhibitions. The platform is designed to be accessible quickly and easily, offering various search filters, security, privacy, and the possibility to chat directly with the galleries.
November 27, Digital Black – the first Italian Black Friday of contemporary art
This is ArtVerona’s first digital program, available to the public exclusively on Friday, November 27, 2020, for Black Friday. Connecting with the world’s most famous commercial promotional event, the public can browse for 24 hours through artworks—one for each gallery—offered at the lowest possible price for that specific piece, never to be repeated. In this way, everyone will have the opportunity to gain experience and make deals in the art market.
The platform is active on 27/11/2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
Registration opens on 25/11/2020.
December 4–14, Digital Yellow: galleries, museums, foundations, and artists center stage
The second digital program presents the best artistic offerings from each gallery through a selection of the most significant and relevant works. This program also includes the new edition of Level 0, the important format involving museums and, starting this year, private foundations, which are invited to choose one Italian artist among those presented and promote them within the institution’s future programming. Many institutions have chosen to show their support for the Italian art system by participating in ArtVerona’s online initiative.
The platform is active from 9:00 a.m. on 4/12/2020 to 12:00 a.m. on 14/12/2020.
December 15, 2020 – January 10, 2021, Digital White by ANGAMC: Solo Shows
The third digital project is dedicated to galleries registered with the ANGAMC association, partner of ArtVerona’s digital program. Through the presentation of numerous works by a single artist, the public will be able to view solo exhibitions that deepen the research and investigate the themes and processes of the artistic journey.
The platform is active from 9:00 a.m. on 15/12/2020 to 12:00 a.m. on 10/01/2021.
