The group exhibition Collezione privata italiana. Works from 1959 to 1998 brings together the works of artists active in the field of painting, but not only: Afro Basaldella, Carlo Battaglia, Antonio Calderara, Piero Dorazio, Marco Gastini, Giorgio Griffa, Giuseppe Maraniello, Eliseo Mattiacci, Pino Pascali, Claudio Verna, Toti Scialoja, William Tucker and Gianfranco Zappettini. The exhibition proposes to follow the traces of a historical artistic moment in which spatial experimentation of form and colour was put before the formal result of the work. Radical reflections that opened up new views on the status of painting and sculpture and on the relationship with modern tradition. The aim of the exhibition is to take the viewer into the ashes of informal art and abstractionism, into the heart of analytical painting and on the borderline with the nascent and subsequent conceptual art in order to introduce him to the structural re-foundation that art found between the 1970s and 1980s.
